Student Travel

JCATI pays travel costs for 2 students per project.

  • By car: To eliminate travel reimbursement paperwork, UW students are strongly encouraged to use a UCAR. Contact the Program Manager for the appropriate JCATI budget number to use. JCATI will reimburse for mileage if using a personal vehicle.
  • By plane: JCATI will pay for two students to fly to Seattle. Those flying must work with the Program Manager to book their ticket through a UW approved travel agent.
Student Registration  Do not register yourself! The JCATI Program Manager will register students once the PI provides attendee names.
Student Pitch Contest

One student from each project has 2 minutes and 1 slide to present their JCATI project to the audience. Students must use the pitch slide template-note this is different from your poster.  Animation is not allowed on the pitch slide. No props are allowed on stage, no reading off paper notes or your phone. Just you, a microphone and 1 slide. Pitch slides and name of pitch person is due to the Program Manager by Wednesday, April 1

A team of judges will score the pitches on the following criteria:

  • Explanation of project

The top two pitches will be announced at the end of the symposium
